Base diameter (open, in flight) 1200 mm Total length of parachute 3400 mm Total mass of parachute 1200 g
Important notes for the operation
The canopy diameter is less than 1.5 m so the SBO (Germand safety regulations for gliding operation) stipulates: · safety cable with connecting ring pair, 3 m long weak links unit (see remarks below) · Connecting cable, 2 m long, p/n 121002
Maintenance and repair applicable for all types of cable parachute
Check the shroud lines regularly and untwist them if necessary. The shroud lines of each panel must run from the base of the cannopy to the thimble without crossing. Before starting, make sure the parachute is straight and not twisted. Towing over stony ground will shorten the life of the parachute canopy. Look out for broken strands on the winch cable and safety cable, which may damage the canopy material. Every parachute should be washed after extended use or heavy soiling. Use a mild detergent. Hang the parachute to dry, but not in direct sunlight or near hot stove.
Proper care prolongs the life of your parachute
Connectors / Quick release elements SBO regulations stipulate a connector between cable parachute and winch launch cable, so that the parachute can be detached from a winch launch cable not currently in use. You will find those connectors in our Product Catalog on page 17 and on our website www.tost.de under Products / Launch/tow equipment / Connectors.
